2019 Spring Mentoring Class

Contributed by Rik Nemanick, Co-Chair, Mentoring Committee

The Spring 2019 SHRM St. Louis Mentoring Class kicked off in early June with nine protégés and three mentors. For this cohort, we are creating mentoring "triads", where two protégés work with one mentor as a group.
While we have not used triads in the past at SHRM St. Louis, I have used triads for other organizations like the Organization Development Network and have gotten good feedback. Part of the reason we went with triads was because we did not get as many mentor applicants as in the past. We will be looking for more mentors for our autumn class since applications for protégés remain high. If you are interested in being a mentor for SHRM St. Louis, please contact co-chair Angela Louis or me.

The protégés and mentors represent HR professionals from both large and small organizations across several industries, including BJC, Willis Towers Watson, and the City of Manchester to name a few. Our kickoff was hosted by Angela at the Simon Law Firm.
