2019 Conference Rundown

On October 18, 2019, hundreds of our members and local HR professionals gathered for our 2019 Annual Leadership Conference. And what a conference it was...
 
  • Keynote. SHRM CEO Johnny Taylor delivered an inspiring and energetic keynote about the future and importance of HR. Attendees welcomed and sent him off stage with standing ovations. Afterward, Johnny spent time with our student attendees to discuss their futures in HR. We were grateful to have Johnny join us at this event!
     
  • Donations. As attendees entered, we collected many articles of gently used business clothing to donate to the Urban League. We were proud to band together and make thing meaninful contribution of items that will be important for many of our neighbors in the St. Louis community.
     
  • SHRM Foundation. Past President Jim Wolf took headshots in exchange for donations to the SHRM Foundation. We raised over $2,000 for the Foundation. Wow! Thanks Jim!
     
  • Speakers. We presented 16 breakout sessions, offering training on a wide variety of topics, from legal updates, to workplace violence, to FMLA administration, to generational differences in the workplace. Thanks so much to our dynamic lineup of speakers!
