"Wishing to Working" University Relations Roundtable & Networking Event a Success

The HRMA University Relations Committee held the "Wishing to Working" Networking Event on September 28, 2017 at Saint Louis Univerisity's John Cook School of Business. This event included roundtables led by HR professionals providing pearls of wisdom, advice, and direction for students and individuals in preparation for workforce readiness. Participants were also encouraged to bring their resumes for a one-on-one review by HR professionals. Roundtable topics included: Online Applications, LinkedIn, Interviewing, Internships, and Benefits.
Danielle Spieckerman, HRMA Past President, welcomed students and provided highlights about HRMA student membership and how to ignite the power of your network through HRMA and our value.

Over 30 participants were in attendance. Students came from various universities in the area including: Lindenwood University, Maryville University, Saint Louis University, Washington University, and Webster University. Seekers attended hungry for advice and guidance in finding their next career position. Conversation was engaging and participants were energized with the helpful tools they acquired, with a fan favorite being the resume review roundtable.
