May 10, 2019 was Military Spouse Appreciation Day as a part of National Military Appreciation Month throughout May. Need we say more? Thanks to the supportive family of our veterans and active duty military! Though they may be private about their military service, there is no doubt they are affected by their or their spouse's work. We recognize the emotional and physical toll they have undergone, so we need to ask ourselves how we can help them succeed in the workplace today? For example, the physical affects veterans have experienced may be in the form of hearing loss or new communication challenges.
