Message From the President

Greetings SHRM STL Members! This time of year is one that we all usually celebrate in some way and reflect on the past twelve months - especially on all of the good things that we have experienced.
This has been an incredible year for me serving as the President of SHRM STL, and I think with the help of our Board, our volunteers and our dedicated members, we accomplished a great deal. We continue to be a premier chapter for the Society of Human Resource Management.

I hope that all of you who have not served in an official volunteer capacity will consider doing so in the coming months. As I have said many times, it is a great way to get to know other HR professionals, both experienced and new to the field, and provides additional resources that may be helpful at some point in your career. With ever changing issues, new resources, especially humans, can be extremely valuable! If I can help answer any questions about serving on committees and/or the Board, please feel free to reach out to me (I'm sure I will still have that red "Ask Me" ribbon for a bit).

Tim Wells will be a great President in 2019, and there are many great ideas already percolating, so stay tuned. As always, if you have any thoughts, comments or ideas that you would like to share related to our chapter, please do not hesitate to contact any of your Board Members. The Board wants SHRM of Greater St. Louis to be your organization, so feedback is appreciated.

Thanks for "Going the Distance!" with me! Best wishes to all for a great holiday season, and prosperous new year! I look forward to seeing all of you soon.

2018 President
