The Role of HR in Worker's Compensation

 
Mark Rudder, plaintiff's attorney with the Law Offices of Mark Rudder, will provide us a strong understanding of key concepts in Worker's Compensation. During this webinar, he will share best practices and examples of how HR can make a clear difference in these challenging situations. Topics will include:
  
  • Key actions an HR Department of One can take to protect the organization from high worker's compensation costs
  • Review of key concepts an HR Department of One needs to know about worker's compensation
  • Ways to balance all the roles HR plays when an injury occurs
  • Reasons employees seek an attorney in worker's compensation scenarios
Mark Rudder is a full time practitioner with the Law Offices of Mark Rudder and has offices in both Washington, MO and University City. He practices in several areas of law, including representing plaintiffs in worker's compensation cases. Mark graduated from Washington University Law School in St. Louis in 1991.

He has served as an adjunct professor with Washington University since graduation in 1991 and is currently the adjunct professor for the Washington University law school mock trial team.

Mark is a member of the Bar Associatin of Metropolitan St. Louis. He is a recipient of the John C. Shepard Professionalism Award which is given to one member of the Missouri Bar each year that exhibits high standards of professionalism. He also serves on the John C. Shepard Professionalism committee that hosts an ethics round table seminar between sitting judges and practicing attorneys.
