Increasing the Value of HR Within Your Organization
Sarah Davidson, PHR, SHRM-CP
Human Resources Director
Roeslein & Associates, Inc.
In smaller organizations HR is often perceived as the "HR police", when what we really want to do is add value to the organization through strong HR practices. This session will provide best practices for changing this perception and demonstrating the value you bring every day. Participants will learn:
- What data and key numbers do you need to leverage? Recognizing that data and reporting systems are often a challenge in smaller organizations, how do you identify and track the ones that truly matter?
- What are the most significant risk factors for an organization and how do you help others understand these risks?
- What resources are out there to help you overcome resource challenges - both time and money?
Sarah Davidson is the Director of Human Resources at Roeslein & Associates, an international engineering, manufacturing, and construction firm with nine entities and over 650 employees. Since joining them in 2013 they have tripled in size and have no plans to slow down. Prior to Roeslein, Sarah served in HR and Safety leadership positions with manufacturing, logistics, and enivronmental companies. She holds her PHR, SHRM-CP, and is currently working towards her California credential with SHRM.
